Con el nombre de Cowboys and Poodles, Jeremy Scott bautiz\u00f3 la colecci\u00f3n Ready to Wear Fall\/Winter 2016 de su marca hom\u00f3nima que incluy\u00f3 un abrigo tipo \u00e1<\/span>rbol de navidad, prints<\/em> espaciales y Holstein, y un par de botas cowboy<\/em> de Ren & Stimpy en colores pastel, entre otras referencias a la cultura pop, al rockabilly<\/em> y a su aparentemente fuente inagotable de inspiraci\u00f3n: la Barbie Hollywood. <\/p>\n

\"Moschino-Ren-&-Stimpy-boots\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Estoy totalmente a favor de la moda divertida y colorida, y aunque su debut en Moschino me result\u00f3 algo inc\u00f3modo, hubo un punto en el que pens\u00e9 que estabamos frente a una genialidad warholiana\u00a0 disruptiva (m\u00e1s aqu\u00ed)<\/a>. Pero eso fue antes de los trajes de Barbie y los vestidos de etiqueta de oferta\u2026<\/p>\n

Temporada tras temporada, Scott junta algo de cada d\u00e9cada y algunos de nuestros \u00edconos de la infancia \u2014me refiero a Barbie y los Loonies, pues Ren y Stimpy son ya bastante malos por s\u00ed solos y claramente no est\u00e1n dirigidos a ni\u00f1os\u2014 y crea atuendos deliberadamente trashy<\/em> capaces de generar el buzz<\/em> suficiente para vender capas de celular a precios inflados.<\/p>\n

Y esta repetici\u00f3n comienza a sentirse mas predecible que transgresora. Aqu\u00ed no vemos los cinturones oversize<\/em> de Moschino, pero tampoco ninguna diferencia notable entre lo que deber\u00eda ser el ADN de su marca y su trabajo en la maison<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"JEREMY-SCOTT-FALL-WINTER-2016\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Si asumimos la moda como un arte, los t\u00e9rminos \u201cfeo\u201d o \u201cbonito\u201d est\u00e1n fuera de cuesti\u00f3n. Pero a diferencia de una pintura que colgamos en la pared, la ropa est\u00e1 hecha para ser usada. El propio Scott, aka<\/em> \u201cel dise\u00f1ador del pueblo\u201d, ha dicho que el mayor logro para un dise\u00f1ador es que la gente de hecho use sus ropas, y aparte de su troupe<\/em> de celebridades y de Chiara que siempre encuentra la manera de llevarlas<\/a>, me pregunto cu\u00e1ntas estar\u00e1n dispuestas a ir vestidas como jab\u00f3n detergente de pies a cabeza.<\/a><\/p>\n

Algunos tops<\/em> de esta colecci\u00f3n son usables \u2014preferiblemente con bottoms <\/em>m\u00e1s discretos\u2014 pero \u00faltimadamente, el esp\u00edritu de la misma es demasiado pretty-womanesque<\/em> para una \u00e9poca donde el minimalismo es el nuevo cool<\/em> y todo el mundo quiere a ser \u2014al menos un poco\u2014 como Caroline de Maigret.<\/p>\n
