Calling all warm toned eyeshadow lovers out there: I hate to be here like “you need this”, but seriously: you need this palette.
The shades on the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette live to the typical “they blend like a friggin dream” beauty blogger’s phrase, and I refuse to decide which ones I love more. The pigmentation on them is beautiful and I love how it mixes neutrals with pops of wearable reddish and plum colors. Can you tell it has become my new fave? I do find that the satin shadows need a little build up to show well on the lid and don’t last as long as the mattes, so proper priming is a must.
It has four mattes: BITTER START (the first one from the first row), BEANS ARE WHITE (last one from the first row), SUBSTITUTE FOR LOVE, and FRESHLY TOASTED (second and third from the second row, respectively). BEANS ARE WHITE seems powdery when compared to the rest and has less pigmentation, which isn’t a deal breaker for me, since I rather to slowly build up the intensity than making a mistake with a total black and ruining the makeup.
SWETEER END (second from row one), WARM NOTES (the beautiful cramberrie shade!), SUBTLE BLEND (the super gorgeous golden on the first row), PURE GANACHE (the soft golden below) and DELICATE ACIDITY (the kind of purple that looks good on everyone!) are all satin. Finally, INFUSION (the forth in the second row), is a deep dark brown with the prettiest golden shimmers in it.
If you have the chance to get it, don’t think about it twice! I got it as a gift from a friend who recently traveled to London (she bought it at Selfridges), but I know It costs 18 pounds in England (EUR 21,80), an affordable price compared to higher end brands. Zoeva is available in several european countries and deliver to a lot of places, but you do need to pay shipping. For those of you who are interested in their brushes I think it could worth it. I know I would love to try their vegan sets!
