Trying False Lashes for the First Time with Esqido

It’s like you can’t call yourself a proper beauty blogger these days if you don’t wear false lashes. Although I’ve tried in the past, I just never had the patience or the ability to hold my breath for time enough for them to actually stick. So, when Esqido invited me to try their handcrafted cruelty free mink lashes I was  slightly nervous, but decided to give them a go!

Their Lash Guide helps you choose the perfect pair for you according to your eye shape, ocassion and level of experience. For a novice like me, the light volume Aerial style was the right pick.

The packaging is beautiful and the mink is collected from natural shedding and then stirilized.

Now, let’s talk a little about the application process: with the help of my tweezers, I removed them from the packaging by gently pulling them from the outer corner. With the same tweezers, I held them while applying a thin layer of the companion glue, waited a couple of seconds until it felt sticky and proceeded to place them as close to my natural lash line as possible, lightly pressed them on the eyelid and finished it off by doing some thight lining work. It took me a couple of tries to get the hang of it, as the band is super thin, but actually, that’s what makes them to blend perfectly with your own lashes.

I did a pretty decent job, if I can say so myself. I’m pleased with the subtle effect they give me and definitely want to try more bold styles such as BFF and Grandiose. What do you think? Also, what are some of your top false lash application tips and tricks? Sound off below!
